ICCES’11 Minisymposium on Meshless and Particle Methods
ICCES’11 Minisymposium on Meshless and Particle Methods(Nanjing, China, 18-22 April 2011)
A minisymposium on Meshless and Particle Methods will be organized for the ICCES’11 (International Conference on Computational and Experimental Engineering & Sciences). ICCES’11 will be held at Grand Metropark Hotel, in Nanjing, China, during 18 - 22 April, 2011, with Hohai University as the local organizer. Please check the ICCES’11 website at http://www.icces.org/ for more information about the conference and the venue.
As compared with the finite element method and other traditional mesh-based methods, meshless and particle methods have shown promising potential as robust spatial discretization schemes without fixed mesh connectivity, and have been successfully applied to those challenging problems involving ultra-large deformation, dynamic fracture propagation, impact and explosion, fluid-structure interaction, and multi-scale and multi-physical phenomena.
We hope that researchers and engineers who have been working on or are interested in meshless and particle methods could exchange their ideas and research results in this minisymposium. Presentations are solicited in all the subtopics related to meshless and particles methods, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Mathematical theory and error estimation
- New techniques and improvements
- Code implementation and engineering software development
- Parallel computation
- Coupling and/or adaptive analysis
- meshless/particle-based multiscale analysis
- meshless/particle-based optimization and analysis of inverse problems
- Applications with obvious advantages over traditional mesh-based methods
- Modern engineering applications
Abstracts/papers can be submitted through the website http://submission.techscience.com/icces11 and the author guide can be found at http://www.icces.org/guide.html. Please be sure to choose "Symposium: Meshless and Particle Methods" on the "Basic Information" page during the submission, and forward a copy of your abstract/paper to us at
